Supplying Netherlands importers with Kenyan cut flowers — quoted FOB Mombasa, CFR, CIF or DAP to Rotterdam or Amsterdam Schiphol.
Most Kenyan flowers land at Amsterdam Schiphol for the Royal FloraHolland auction at Aalsmeer or for direct sale to Dutch importers who re-distribute across Europe.
Our flowers are grown by Kenya Flower Council members around Lake Naivasha, Nakuru, Mt Kenya (Nanyuki, Timau), Thika, Athi River and the western highlands at Eldoret and Kitale. Twelve hours of equatorial daylight and cool highland nights give firm stems, intense colour and slow opening.
Buyers we serve in Netherlands: Flower importers, auction traders, wholesalers, florists and supermarket chains.
The Netherlands is the main European gateway for Kenyan flowers (Royal FloraHolland, Aalsmeer) and fresh fruit and vegetables (Rotterdam). Duty-free access applies under the Kenya–EU EPA. Fresh produce requires a phytosanitary certificate, EU MRL compliance and, for most retail programmes, GlobalG.A.P. certification.
