Supplying China importers with Kenyan nuts & oilseeds — quoted FOB Mombasa, CFR, CIF or DAP to Shanghai or Shanghai Pudong.
China is the largest buyer of Kenyan macadamia. Our processors are GACC-registered and ship kernels to Shanghai, Shenzhen and Qingdao; sesame also moves to Chinese oil and tahini processors.
Macadamia grows on smallholdings across the central highlands and is cracked, sorted and graded in licensed processing plants that meet international food-safety standards. Kenyan regulations restrict the export of raw in-shell macadamia and require value addition, so we primarily supply graded kernels.
Buyers we serve in China: Snack manufacturers, nut processors, food-ingredient companies, oil millers and wholesalers.
China has market-access protocols for Kenyan fresh avocados, frozen avocados and macadamia, among others. Exporting packhouses and processors must be registered with the GACC (CIFER system) and shipments must meet the relevant bilateral protocol, including approved orchard and packhouse lists for fresh fruit.
